My professional origins story
UX + me = a great match
Outside of UX
I have a unique skill set blending nearly a decade of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance + product design & academic user research for various futuristic technologies.
I like to think of the UX journey as an interesting project that we are looking to solve in order for us to grow and be happy. Sometimes, we have to do more digging, get rid of ideas, or start over entirely. The best projects worth working on are those that challenge your assumptions and show you the world through a different lens.
My approach to User Experience blends my background in philanthropy and research methodology, communication and an urge to create new opportunities for those in need.
My experience includes bringing insights to life through compelling storytelling, inviting users to share their feelings through active listening and synthesizing information from various quantitative & qualitative research methods including user stories, card sorting, surveys and usability tests into intuitive and engaging output for clients, team members and customers alike. I also bring design skills, such as wire framing and prototyping potential solutions.
In my spare time, I practice my Spanish skills, travel around the world, snowboard different mountains within the U.S., listening to music (some with lots of screaming), binge-watch Netflix series, hike, and am a Big to my Little in Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
